Menslink Midweeker featuring Tim Shaw

Tim Shaw has over 20 years experience in television and radio broadcasting, but he is best known as the King of Knives (“But wait, there’s more!”) from the Demtel TV commercials of the 1990’s. Having presented radio shows on Sydney radio stations 2GB and 2UE, he more recently spent three years working in Thailand, where he was a senior journalist with the Seven Network's South East Asia bureau and in January 2016, moved to Canberra to become 2CC’s breakfast host.

Midweekers are available to women and men of all ages who want to come and listen to inspiring stories from our local men, as well as to understand some of the key issues facing young guys in our region. You don’t have to be a guy to come to a Midweeker – just interested in supporting young guys and their families.

Craig Allen is Canberra's ABC weekend newsreader and a member of the reporting team. Craig spoke to the Canberra Times about his experience with anxiety and panic attacks in May 2017, telling how he has battled anxiety for over two decades but has only recently sought help from his GP.

Midweekers are available to women and men of all ages who want to come and listen to inspiring stories from our local men, as well as to understand some of the key issues facing young guys in our region. You don’t have to be a guy to come to a Midweeker – just interested in supporting young guys and their families.

Menslink Midweeker featuring Mike Pezullo

Mike Pezzullo, the first son of Italian working-class migrants, wanted to be a history professor.  It was while studying at the University of Sydney in the early 1980s that he was steered away from academia and was encouraged to consider a more secure future in government service.

In September of this year, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull overhauled the top ranks of the federal public service, naming Mike Pezzullo who currently heads the Department of Immigration and Border Protection as head of the new Home Affairs Department that is to be established in 2018.

Midweekers are available to women and men of all ages who want to come and listen to inspiring stories from our local men, as well as to understand some of the key issues facing young guys in our region. Todd Wills, Office Managing Partner of EY’s Canberra office, has 25 years’ experience in the professional services industry. Upon moving from Melbourne to Canberra, a colleague described Todd as “a breath of fresh air into the Canberra tax practice, kind, understanding and mischevious!. He is also a man of integrity who reaches out and touches a lot of people around him”.

Menslink Business Breakfast 2018

The Menslink Business Breakfast is our annual fundraising event and draws nearly five hundred leaders from across Canberra to hear from inspiring speakers, network with other community-minded people, and support the great work of Menslink. The 2018 Menslink Business Breakfast will be held on Tuesday 18 September, 2018 and will feature Australian journalist, radio and television presenter and author, Peter FitzSimmons.
