Program Events Manager - Youth Mentor Program

  • Join a dynamic local charity making a real difference in our community
  • Designing a program of activities to achieve key outcomes for young guys while maximising engagement
  • Highly autonomous role

Menslink is a well-known Canberra charity supporting young men aged 10-25 through counselling, mentoring and innovative education programs designed to build resilience, self-esteem and help-seeking behaviour amongst young men in our community.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment; knowing the work they do helps young men and their families (mostly single mums), while reducing community issues such as suicide and family violence. This person will have a successful track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and providers.

We are seeking a self-motivated, supportive and flexible individual to ensure our events add real value to the Program. The role will focus on designing and facilitating group activities, within budget, to achieve maximum participation for our Mentees and Mentors in our Mentoring Program.

The Events Manager is a pivotal role that operates at the very heart of Menslink and needs to be a person who will not only make things happen but really make them hum. This is a full-time role with a lot of flexibility around our major and other regular scheduled events.
