Celebrating
Menslink
The Big Night Out is one of Menslink’s annual fundraising events, bringing together community leaders and Menslink stakeholders and supporters for a fun night of letting off steam, listening to powerful stories, and of course raising much-needed funds for charity.
10 years of Big Night Out
2026

Join us on Friday, March 13th, for the 10th Big Night Out! This year, we’re shifting the spotlight to the celebration of growth, mentorship, and real-world success. We invite you to join us for an evening of powerful stories, entertainment, food, drink and laughter; all in the name of raising money for an incredible cause with real impact in the Canberra community.
Icons Through the Decades
2025
The 2025 Menslink Big Night Out was a huge success. The theme for the evening was ‘Icons Through the Decades’, and as you can see, our guests went all out. Thank you to everyone who attended and to all the businesses and individuals across Canberra who contributed to the evening.

Dress To Impress
2024

A huge thanks to the Canberra community for another successful Big Night Out!
We heard powerful stories and raised vital funds to keep our services thriving – all the while having a great time with great Canberra people.
One of the powerful stories we heard on the night from Will and Debi. Take a few minutes and learn a bit more about why what we do at Menslink matters:
2023
Our Big Night Out and ALLBIDS Charity Auction have raised much-needed funds to help support our mentoring, counselling, and Menslink In-School programs.
Over 400 people joined us at Hotel Realm on Friday 24 March, in their best 70s and 80s attire to show their support for the Menslink cause.
A BIG thank you goes out to all the Canberra businesses who supported our event. Special thanks to those who donated services and products including:
👉 MC for the night, Cam Sullings
👉 Hot Shots Photography
👉 Canberra Event Management and Styling
👉 Hotel Realm
👉 Independent Liquor Retailers
👉 Carlton & United Breweries
👉 Auctioneer for the night, Mario Sanfrancesco
👉 Parker Coles Curtis Lawyers, who added extra sparkle through their sponsorship of our Champagne Bar.
The Menslink Charity Auction hosted by Mario Sanfrancesco kept the suspense in the room as everyone waited to see who would walk away with the Lennock Volkswagen Amarok. Many of you from our extended community showed your support for us by bidding on our extensive range of auction items over the weeks before the event.
This combined community effort allows Menslink to continue to deliver our free programs offered to all young men and those who identify as male aged 10 to 25 in Canberra and surrounding regions.
70s
2021
The Big Night Out is one of Menslink’s annual fundraising events, bringing together community leaders and Menslink stakeholders and supporters for a fun night of letting off steam, listening to powerful stories, and of course raising much needed funds for charity.
This was our fourth Big Night Out after the 2020 edition was cancelled. The event was held back on March 26, 2021, with over 300 people arriving at Hotel Realm in Barton wearing their best 70s attire.
MCs for the night – Canberra’s own Mark Riley and Suzanne Mostyn guided the enthralled crowd from a stirring first-hand account from Peter Munday to a heartfelt video message from two former Menslink mentees, before kicking off the annual ALLBIDS Charity Auction.
2019
On Friday March 29, Menslink held our 3rd annual Big Night Out…and boy was it big!
Over 450 people from across Canberra came to show their support, sporting funky outfits and big hair for our 70s and 80s theme.
It was a sensational night, packed with great food, great company and great entertainment (thank you Daniel Gibson for your outstanding contribution as emcee).
2018
The Menslink Big Night Out started in 2016 with a fun night that saw fun, dancing and a whole heap fundraising taking place. As the glow of the night wore off, the flares were stashed in the botom drawer and the sequins shirt hung at the back of the cupboard, planning started for the 2018 event which is going to be even bigger and better than the first.
