Craig Allen

Craig Allen is a journalist, who has worked in and around the media industry since 1988. Beginning his career in regional Queensland, Craig returned to his hometown of Canberra in 1996 and spent three years working as a government media advisor.

Since 2002 he has been a regular in Canberra loungerooms, as presenter of ABC Canberra weekend news bulletins. He has also reported for ABC Radio Canberra, Stateline ACT, and 7.30.

Craig is a keen traveller and has made many trips to Nepal to trek in the Himalayas and explore Nepali art and culture. He acts as an advisor to the REACH for Nepal Foundation, which takes school groups from Australia to provide educational experiences and deliver community aid in remote Nepalese villages.

Back home, Craig enjoys growing native orchids and holidaying in his vintage VW camper with his wife Tam and their two kids.
