Business Breakfast another sell-out success

October 1, 2013

Menslink would like to thank all of our returning and new sponsors and supporters who helped make this year’s Business Breakfast a success.

IMG_0171Over 290 people packed the National Press Club to hear speakers Martin Fisk, David Shillington from the Raiders and author Shane Horburgh talk about the importance of genuine role models for young men and the work Menslink is doing around the region.

Menslink CEO opened with an awkward silence to highlight the need for young men – and men of all ages – to talk about their issues and help their mates out.

IMG_0185This message was re-inforced by Dave Shillington who talked about facing your challenges head on, describing how public speaking was sometimes scarier than playing for Queensland in front of 80,000 NSW supporters. Shane also talked about how successful people make mistakes and gave some entertaining examples from his days in the NSW Special Operations squad.
