Each Midweeker brings together people from all corners of the community: business owners, sportspeople, politicians, community leaders, and members to share stories and how they’ve been supported throughout their life.
Every Midweeker features a well-known Canberran talking about their life’s journey and the challenges they have overcome to get where they are today. Midweekers are open to everyone, men, women and young people interested in discussing issues affecting young guys in our community.
Menslink Midweekers are a free event held on the 2nd Wednesday most months at the Statesman Hotel, Curtin.
There is no need to RSVP – just turn up from 6pm, with the guest speaker to start from 6:15pm.
Menslink Midweekers are proudly supported by Lennock Volkswagen.

Who’s been a guest speaker?
Menslink Midweeker speakers come from any background, industry or way of life. Past speakers have included sportspeople, politicians, artists, writers, business owners and local Canberran personalities.
At past Menslink Midweekers, we’ve had Brumbies great Clyde Rathbone talk about overcoming depression, as did Liberal MLA Andrew Wall. Greens MLA Shane Rattenbury talked about growing up without a Dad on the South Coast of NSW and how important mentoring is for young men, while Federal Labor MP Andrew Leigh talked about the influence his mentor, High Court judge Michael Kirby, had on his life and the immense sorrow he experienced when a good mate killed himself at a young age. Former raiders Josh Hodgson, Sia Soliola, and Terry Campese have also stood up to talk along with former AWM Director Brendan Nelson and former chief of Army and Australian of the year David Morrison.
These talks can go in many directions so come prepared to hear anything.
Midweekers are a great way to hear inspiring stories from Canberran leaders, learn a bit about Menslink and our great work, and meet old and new friends in a friendly setting.
