Katy Balmaks

Raised in country Victoria Katy moved to Melbourne to study nursing in the early 1980s. After 18 very rewarding years working in various acute and community healthcare settings across 3 States and the ACT, she joined the Commonwealth Public Service. Her public service career provided a broad experience covering program and policy delivery in the education, health and social sectors. Following this, she worked for Diabetes Australia managing the National Diabetes Services Scheme. Her diverse career has embedded in her the importance of support and the positive impact that this has on mental and physical health.

Katy joins Menslink as a graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, with tertiary qualifications including a Masters of Health Administration and Information Systems and she is a current director of the National Health Coop. Katy is married to Andrew with 2 adult children
