Shane grew up in Sydney’s Mount Druitt as one of six children in a family troubled by drugs, alcohol and violence. He dropped out of school at just 15 years old, later taking a job with Australia Post.
Shane eventually found a pathway into tertiary study and he went on to complete not one but three university degrees. Shane Drumgold was appointed the ACT Director of Public Prosecutions in December 2018, a job his 15 year old self would probably never have imagined possible!
Shane’s story is one of resilience and hard work, really embodying the Menslink message of ‘Everything Is Possible’.
