If you’ve heard David on breakfast radio or SBS world news, you would get the sense that this man is articulate, intelligent, humorous and professional. David has struggled with his mental health about a decade now, using different vices to try to cure his inner pain. David is quoted as saying “Too often it is overlooked and ignored. Depression isn’t just feeling sad or a little blue. It’s an illness and the end result can be fatal.” David first publicly spoke about his battle with depression in 2018 in the hope of encouraging other people to speak out about their mental health issues and help end the stigma. David will be speaking on the eve of ‘R U OK? Day’ and 12 months on from when he first spoke publicly about his experiences.
