Grant initially joined Menslink in January 2018, leaving in late 2019 to pursue other opportunities, Grant has now rejoined Menslink in October 2020. Since 2014 he has worked as a trauma counsellor and caseworker working primarily with men with histories of complex PTSD and trauma. He trained and volunteered as a Lifeline Counsellor while completing his Social Science (Psychology) degree in 1998. He also holds a Graduate Certificate of Community Counselling at the University of Canberra.
Grant worked as a Senior Child Protection Caseworker (NSW DoCS) for seven years and worked on the Defence Abuse Response Taskforce. He has worked for UnitingCare, Directions ACT, Canberra Rape Crisis Centre (Service Assisting Male Survivors of Sexual Assault), as well as an Occupational Rehabilitation provider.
He has a strong interest in counselling particularly with men and young men.
He has also worked as a professional musician, as a draftsperson and worked on farms and vineyards around the Monaro and Central Western NSW.
Grant likes fishing, playing music, meditation, gardening and hanging out with his two daughters.
